Traces .of radioactive plutonium were reported at a top-secret Dow Chemical Company factory near • Denver after a fire which caused severe damage. A spokesman for the company, which runs a weapons factory for the Atomic Energy Commission in nearby Rocky Flats, said that the contamination was confined to the area immediately round the works, and monitoring teams would continue to record the radioactivity level throughout the night.
