N.Z.-Breds Win Four Races (N.Z.P.A. Staff Correspondent) MELBOURNE. Horses with New Zealand sires won four of the seven events at Flemington on Saturday. The highlight was a winning double by the Summertime three-year-old. Sundale, and the Brisbane Cup hope, Astound, for Mr and Mrs L. Reid, and the trainer, I. Saunders.

Sundale won the Terrace Handicap of one mile and a half, while Astound scored in the Koorlong Handicap (11m).

The other New Zealand-bred winners were Trevisana (Gigantic—Actress) in the Ferndale Handicap for two-year-olds. and the veteran Saboli (Sabaean—Napoli) in the Coral Sea Handicap dim).

6-4 On Favourite Sundale (Summertime—Rata Marie), the 6-4 on favourite, was far too strong for the opposition in the Terrace Handicap, winning by half a length from Red Morn, with Card Trick a short half-head away third. Astound (Fox Myth—Land Queen) ran a fine trial for next month’s Rrisbane Cup when he raced home for an easy win in the Koorlong Handicap. Astound, a four-year-old gelding, came from fourth last at the half-mile and shot to the front effortlessly in the last furlong.
