AUCKLAND, May 11.
“Is it good for New tealand?” is the test to apply when an overseas company wants to form in' New Zealand the Minister of Finance, (Mr Muldoon) said today at the opening in Auckland of Norcross (New Zealand), Ltd, greeting canrmanufacturers.
Mr Muldoon told a gathering of employees and retailers that New Zealand wanted companies with expertise, research facilities and export markets. “New Zealand is, and will remain, a capital importer in our time,” he said.
Norcross, which has already exported 2m greeting cards to Australia since starting in .Auckland last year, is a subsidiary of Norcross International, one of the world’s largest greeting card manufacturers.
