Regina To Pay 4 p.c. Fin. Div.
(N.Z. Prest Association) DUNEDIN, May 9. A final dividend of 4 per cent has been provided for in the accounts of Regina Confections, Ltd, for the year to March 31, making the I total dividend for the year 16) per cent. ; This is about equivalent to the annual cash dividends before last year’s one-for-10 tax-free share issue. The directors report that with the aid of a substantial I tax allowance carried forward from last year the net tax-paid profit was up 60 per cent at about 824,000. This figure was much too low in view of the tax allowance, when related to the turnover of slm a year. CIDER INTEREST Baltins Industries, Ltd, and Fletcher Humphreys and Company, Ltd, have comI pleted negotiations with Mating and Company, Ltd, for a minority interest in its wholly owned subsidiary, Rochdale Cider Company, Ltd.—(P.A.) Off The List J. J. McCaskey and Son, Ltd, whose preference shares have been successfully acquired by Deanes Industries, Ltd, has re-registered as a private company and is removed from the Stock Exchange list.—(P.A.)
