R. J, Wooihouse, toe Linwood left wing, display, ing toe dash which has stamped him as one of toe leading figures In toe Christchurch senior Rugby competition tola winter. His eight tries in four games places him at toe head of toe try-scoring table. A former West Coast representative, Wooihouse appeared regularly for Canterbury last season and seems certain to play a prominent part in toe fortunes of toe provincial XV during the coming months. Wooihouse, a Christchurch policeman, is powerfully built for a . wing; but has considerable speed he ran the 100 yd in 10.4 sec as a junior—and can swerve with precision.
