OVERSEAS TRADING
SYDNEY All markets traded lower on the Sydney Stock Exchange yesterday Olis were particularly weak. Only the speculative stocks, Silver Valley, v.A.M. and and Surveys, stood out In a poorly traded mining market. Both Cudgen and Consolidated Rutile were cut back after the announcement of share sales to Mineral Securities. B.H.P. continued to fall, closing sales were at 1650 c. C.S.R. also appears to have lost its popularity. All markets closed weak with some Interest being shown in oils.

MELBOURNE Oil and mining shares eased on the Melbourne StockExchange. Falls outnumbered rises three to one. Mount lea closed up 2c on the day at 891 c: the company's report that it expects to become the world's, largest producer ot lead, silver and zinc was received after; trading dosed. Kathleen Investments lost 46c to 770 c on its report of lower profits. Queens* land Mines was 10c lower at 1260 c. Ampol Exploration was down 18c to 330 c. Metals Exploration lost a further 30c to close at 680 c and Endurance Mining was 25c off at 275 c. Market leader B.H.P. was down 20c to 1655 c in a generally flrm investment section.
