1851 Scholarship
A Victoria University if Wellington graduate, Mr J. P. Larkindale, aged 22, who last Friday graduated master of science with honours, has been awarded an 1851 Exhibition science research scholarship. Only nine of the scholarships are awarded throughout the British Commonwealth each year. A similar scholarship took Lord Rutherford to Londpn. Mr Larkindale intends to use the scholarship at McGill University, Montreal, Canada, in September to study for his Ph.D. in chemistry,—(P.A.)
