TRUCK AND TRAILER FOR CHATHAMS.—A $7000 truck-and-trailer combination at Lyttelton waiting shipment to the Chatham by the Holmdale. The six-wheel-drive vehicle will be a temporary replacemeat for the present Army trade and will work between Te Hapupu airstrip and Waitangi. The tall vehicle to designed for all-weather haulage, particularly when crossing Te Whanga Lagoon. A pointed wooden guard has been fitted on the forward end of the vehicle to act as a wave breaker when crossing the lagoon. Passengers will be carried in the vehicle, luggage and freight in the trailer.
