Women Buyers • WOMEN'S SPORTSWEAR AND FROCKS • WOMEN'S UNDERWEAR ... Two women buyers are required, primarily with experience in the purchasing of Women’s Outerwear or Women’s Underwear, although applications are encouraged from those experienced in buying other items of Women’s apparel. We envisage they will be Department Store orientated with a proven record of Buying accumulated over a period of approximately five years. i Possibly they will be in their near thirties to mid-forties, free to travel either New Zealand or overseas and intent upon furthering an already successful career in retail buying. Men Buyers • UTILITY FURNITURE • SMALL APPLIANCES • GREEN GARDENING Two men buyers are also required. One will accept responsibility for the purchasing of Utility ; and Occasional Furniture and Small Appliances. Currently he could be buying for either, or both, of these sections in the Department Store or Specialised ] store field, or managing a business, retailing. either , commodity. Possibly he will be aged between 28 and early forties. The second man required is one with ; sound experience in the sphere of Green Gardening. , He could well be managing a Nursery or be responsible for the operation of a section of one. We envis- ! age his age being between 22 and 30. Trainee Buyers Applications are sought from young men between 20 and 24 who are keen to embark on a Buying career. Previous retail experience is not essential but applicants will be required to demonstrate a high degree of aptitude and enthusiasm for this specialised vocation. Minimum educational standard is School Certificate. It is reiterated that these are new positions created by Woolworths entry into a more sophisticated area of retailing necessitating new and up-graded ranges of merchandise.
