Paid For But Stolen
(N.Z.P.A.-Reuter—Copgrlght) LONDON, May 5.
A girl was convicted of theft in Bradford for taking a bottle of milk which she had paid for. The girl, Susan Pryor, aged 19, took the milk from a roundsman’s crate. She left money beside it, the “Daily Mirror” reported. But she stole the milk, the magistrates decided. What she did was an offence under the new Theft Act because the milk was not on sale.
Although convicted, she was given an absolute discharge.
