P.M. To Lead Delegation

WELLINGTON, May 6.
The Prime Minister (Mr Holyoak*) announced today that he would lead the New Zealand delegations to the S.E.A.T.O. Council meeting and the conference of the seven allied nations concerned in the Vietnam war, both being held in Bangkok later this month.
Mr Holyoake said that he would be joined in Bangkok for these important consultations by the Minister of Defence (Mr Thomson), who would be paying visit to New Zealand soldiers in Malaysia, Singapore, South Vietnam and Thailand during this month. Other members of the delegations would include the Secretary of External Affairs (Mr G. R. Laking) and the Chief of the Defence Staff (Lieutenant • General Sir Leonard Thornton).
