Queen’s Colour For Wigram
The Queen’s Colour, presented to the Royal New Zealand Ar Force by Queen Elizabeth in 1953, will be handed over at Wigram by a colour party from Woodbourne on the morning of May 30. A parade to mark the Queen’s official birthday will be held immediately afterwards. The parade will be reviewed by the Mayor (Mr A. R. Guthrey). For the first time the Band of the New Zealand Army will be in attendance, and it is expected that there will be a fly-past of aircraft.
About an hour after the parade ends the Queen’s Colour Will be lodged in the No. 1 officers’ mess.
