Revival attempt
An attempt to revive the ; Christchurch Polo Club ; will be made at a special ; meeting next Wednesday I evening. > The club became de- ! funct just before world i War II after an existence of about 40 years. One of Its leading players in prewar years, Mr R. M. D. Johnson, has been prominent in working to reform the club. The renewed interest In polo in the South Island and the availability of a playing area near the airport prompted several interested persons to advertise for experienced and novice players. The club’s immediate aim will be to field a team ! next season to play interi club matches against the ' existing Ashley, Amurl, Walmate, Ashburton and 1 Geraldine clubs.
