Iraq Offers Bail
(N.Z.P.A.-Reuter —Copyright)
ZURICH, April 29.
The Iraqi Government has offered to stand bail for the three Arabs accused of machine-gunning an Israeli airliner at Zurich Airport last February. One of their lawyers said that the Iraqi offer, made to the Zurich justice authorities included a guarantee to return the three men—Mohammend Abu Al-Haija, Ibrahim Tawfiq and Miss Amina Dahbour—if and when they were called to stand trial. Iraq submits that the Arabs should be given the same treatment as Mordechai Rachamin, the Israeli security agent aboard the airliner who shot dead a fourth Arab attacker and who has been freed on 100,000 francs bail put up by Israel. A previous request for bail based on a surety offer by Algeria, was rejected earlier this month.
