Women’s Team Wins Bowls
Mrs G. Jonas's team played splendidly to win the Canterbury indoor bowls Arawa triples title. 13-5. at Kearney’s Koad on Sunday. After four ends Mrs Jones’s all-women team, Including Mesdames L. Umber and N. Barrie, led J. A. Burrows’s trio, 7-1. Mrs Jones was still six points ahead with five ends to play, and ber team steadily increased Its lead. Besults:— Quarter-finals.—D. Taylor 8, R.
