SYDNEY

Although falls headed riies in all sections, there were several outstanding gains on the Sydney Stock Exchange. The doubling of the interim dividend by Mount Isa produced a 60c jump 'to 916 before the market closed at 900. E.Z. gained 25c to 495 after a new zinc find in South Australia. C.S.R. climbed another 20c to 898 after yesterday's 18c rise. In the oil section Woodside and Mid-East-ern were marked down and some more speculative miners were also lower.

MELBOURNE Mount Isa moved up 46c to 906 c in a mining and oil market in which falls outnumbered rises almost two to one. E.Z. Industries, which has announced a new zinc find, was 27c higher at 505 c and C.S.R. was also stronger. Endurance Mining moved up 20c to 840 c and Mary Kathleen was 14c stronger at 944 c. Metals Exploration dropped 60c to 750 c: rumours that Freeport Sulphur was planning to pull out of the joint nickel venture at Greenvale were denied. Reaction continued in gold stocks after the sharp rise on Monday although Peko Wallsend firmed 15c to 1170 c. Western Mining was 5c weaker at 1135 c.
