i gin studies at McGill for a (master's degree in science. ! (applied) covering nursing j and the social sciences. Miss Christensen has a ! B.A. degree from Auckland , University. “There is a good deal i going on overseas in nursing research and this interests me very much,” she said. There were Ph.D. degrees available in nursing sociology and allied sciences which she said ultimately could attract her. A number of New Zealand nurses were doing part-time university study. As the social sciences de-: velop more and entered further into nursing the need for university education for nurses was becoming in-! creasingly recognised, she said. Nursing in New Zealand was working toward a university degree to fit nurses for top posts in nursing education.
