He said that he had played for Kaiapoi for five years, travelling 30 miles each week for training. He had also In troduced new players to the club and had not received expenses for his travelling costs Williams requested that he be given dispensation from the transfer suspension. Transfer.—The transfer of K K. Winika from Sydenham to Christchurch-Eastern Suburbs was approved. He will under, go a four-match transfer su« pension and will be eligibl* to play in the fifth round of matches.

New Name.—Mr E. Butts tn formed the meeting that according to the by-laws of the new national constitution the name of the Northern Uninn Cup had been changed to the Rugby League Cup. The code became known as Rugby League” in 1922, but the cup was presented m 1910 when the name was still "Northern Union.”
