MISSING CAT

Escape After Operation A six-year-old cat which had been missing for six weeks was recovering from an operation and still had the stitches in its side, its owner. Miss T. Everett, said last evening

Miss Everett said that she had advertised for the cat but someone could be feeding it not aware that it was lost and might be in pain because of the stitches.

Six weeks ago Miss Everett’s cat. which answers to the name of Sammy, became ill just before she left for a week’s holiday in Wellington. The cat was taken to a veterinary surgeon who operated on it, but it was not fully recovered by the time Miss Everett left on her holiday. It was arranged that the cat would go to a cattery after it recovered.

The cat escaped and has not yet been found. Miss Everett asked that anyone finding the large ginger cat with white bib and fore-feet and fur slightly longer than a standard short-haired cat, get in touch with her at the telephone numbers, 47-450 or 896-303
