PORIRUA HOSPITAL

‘Til-informed*’ Criticism fN.Z. Press Association) WELLINGTON. April 27. There was still much illinformed criticism of Porirua Hospital and its Oificers, the Medical Superintendent (Dr M. G. McKay) said in his, annua! report, released yesterday. He was commenting in particular on the criticism made by the retiring chairman of the Porirua sub-group of the Public Service Association (Mr R. Flahive) who drew attention to the “deplorable” situation prevailing at the Porinta Hospital which was considered to be only a 110bed hospital but which contained 500 patients. Mr McKay said he found the ill-informed criticism very saddening coming as it did at times from staff members/ “outside” doctors and people who should generally be better informed about the hospttal.
