Retention Sought <N Z.P.A. -Reuter— Copyright I MELBOURNE. April 25. A conference of woolgrowers in Melbourne has called for the retention of the ban on the export of Merinos, which has been in force for 40 years. The conference, held bv the pastoral division of the Victorian Farmers’ Union, condemned the proposal to remove the ban by 54 votes to 32. This decision goes against that of the Australian wool industry conference last November. The Federal Government has been asked to ratify the lifting of the embargo and the Minister of Primary Industry (Mr Douglas Anthony) has said he is in favour of that
