Protest Rejected
Iran has rejected and returned an Iraqi Note protesting against the passage of an ■lranian freighter flying the Iranian flag along the disputed Shatt al Arab River .border. A Foreign Ministry announcement in Teheran says the Iraqi Government (has been told that the protest was rejected because Iraq had violated the 1937 Shatt al Arab shipping treaty between the two countries, and Iran had now declared it null and void.—Teheran, April 27.
