REBELLIOUS PRIESTS
Pope Prepares Document I <S.ZP.*M<ut«r—Copyrtghtl ROME. April 17. Pope Paul, troubled by rebellious priests in Argentina, the Netherlands and other countries, is preparing a document on the problems of the clergy. This was disclosed, today by Cardinal Giovanni Urban!, president of the Italian bishops’ conference, in a report to the annual conference of Italy’s 300 bishops. In his report the Cardinal condemned violent demonstrations. pornography, divorce and sad and scandalous episodes involving priests in some countries, including Italy. This was partly a reference to priest* giving up their vocation to marry, or resigning In protest against their superiors. The Italian bishops had decided not to issue a longexpected document on the problems, but to await one to be put out by the Vatican,. Cardinal Urbani said.
