Reinstatement Withdrawn

(N.Z. Press Association)

AUCKLAND.

The New Zealand Rugby Union has withdrawn the reinstatement of the former Kiwi Rugby league wing, P. M. V. White, formerly of Christchurch, now living in Northland. White, who has played five times for New Zealand, was reinstated by the national executive on application from North Auckland. The secretary of the New Zealand union, Mr G. Geddes, said yesterday: "The reinstatement has been withdrawn and referred to the council, which will meet in New Plymouth on May 26.” The union's rules on reinstatement include: “No player who has played for New Zealand or for a New Zealand league team to be reinstated.”
