N.Z. Horses For U.S.

(N.Z. Press Association) AUCKLAND. Ten New Zealand horses valued at more than *100,090 were due to leave for the United State*—and their buyers—on a chartered flight from Auckland late last night. The 10 New Zealand horses will join 24 Australian pacers which joined the plane at Sydney. They travel to the United States via Papeete and Acapulco. The New Zealand horses are: Stoney Burke, Floodlit (ex galloper), Humphrey, Doug's Choice, Top Copy, Topper, Big Hanover. Light Silk, Voodoo and Gay Logan. Mr J. D. Kaye, director of Nichols Air Services, Ltd, the Auckland company which has arranged the transport of the horses, said next month 34 horse* would leave Auckland for th* United State*.

He was hopeful a D.C.10 jumbo-jet would arrive in Auckland late in November to carry 54 horse* to the United States.

Sure Frost Sold Sure Frost will race in the Interests of Mr and Mrs W. A. Nelmas, of Auckland, when he contests the “First Two-year-old Stakes at Addington Raceway tomorrow. They purchased him yesterday from Mr A, J. Cunningham. of HalsweH. A gelding by Thurber Frost from Sure Angela, he has had two fourths and a fifth from his last four starts.
