Youth Put On Probation

ROTORUA, March 20.

The maximum period of three years probation was imposed on Tamahou Natana, aged 19, unemployed, when he appeared before Mr W. M. Willis, S.M., in the Whakatane Magistrate’s Court today for sentence on a charge of causing the death of Priscilla Whaaka by carelessly using a .303 rifle on March 2. The Court was told on Tuesday that when Natana attempted to clear a jammed rifle it discharged. The girl was shot in the chest.
