Increased

(N.Z. Press Association) LONDON, March 19.

The British Government envisages higher mutton and lamb imports over the next two years.

The annual price review, tabled in the House of Commons today, estimates that imports in the 1968-69 year will increase about 4j per cent

This compares with a decrease in home-grown supplies of 5} per cent The White Paper adds that a further fall in “homered” supplies is expected in 196970.

In a bid to stimulate fat sheep production, however, the Government announces in the document that it plans to increase the guaranteed price for fat sheep by NZl.5c per lb.
