Tennis Field Day

Ninty-two players competed in a women’s field day for the B grade section held by the ‘ Canterbury Lawn Tennis Association at Wilding Park yes--2 terday. This showed the wisdom of dividing the sections because the A grade had 76 players and the combined number would have been too i great for one day. Yesterday Mesdames C. Weatherhead and E. Harland, of St Martin’s won a play-off with Mesdames N. Harley and J. Scott (North Linwood), after each had gained 37 points.
