PROTEST AT CONSULATE.—PoIice removing one of the many demonstrators who invaded the office of the United States Consul in Auckland on Monday afternoon to protest against the continuance of the war in Vietnam. Thirty-three demonstrators who refused to leave the office were arrested and charged with trespass. The Consul (Mr J. M. Roland) said none of the protesters was abusive and no damage was caused.
