COLONEL WITHOUT A REGIMENT.—CoIoneI Patrick Winter is the only soldier left at North Weald Camp, Essex. The York and Lancaster Regiment, of which he was the commanding officer, has been disbanded and the men dispersed. The wooden signposts at the camp have been burnt and the regimental silver stored. All that remains are one banner, one drum, one crest, and one lonely colonel waiting for a posting to the Royal Irish Rangers.
