Offer In Pay Dispute
A stop-work meeting of building tradesmen employed by C. S. Luney, Ltd, will be held at 8 a.m. today to discuss an offer made by the company to settle a pay dispute. Since the beginning of this week carpenters and joiners have worked to rule in support of claims for a minimum wage of $1.12 an hour, an industrial allowance of 1.7 c an hour and a minimum travelling allowance of half an hour a day.
