29 Charges To Answer

WELLINGTON, March 10. Daniel Neil Barrett, aged 21, unemployed, stole and burgled to gain supplies of narcotics and cash, the Wellington Magistrate’s Court was told today by the prose? cution.

Barrett pleaded guilty before Mr R. D. Jamieson, S.M., to 29 charges involving possession of narcotics and prescription poisons, using narcotics, supplying narcotics, possessing hypodermic syringes and needles, breaking and entering Wellington and Hutt Valley surgeries, stealing narcotics and poisons, unlawfully interfering with cars and unlawfully taking cars. Barrett pleaded not guilty to a charge of stealing doctors’ equipment, and ampoules of drugs. Barrett was remanded until March 17 for a probation report and sentence on the charges to which he pleaded guilty, and for the hearing of the charge to which be pleaded not guilty.
