Children’s Court In January

On a charge of driving while intoxicated, a boy. aged 16, was put on probation for 18 months, fined $5O. and disqualified from driving for three years, when he appeared before the Children’s Court in January.

Other cases dealt with by Children's Court in the Christchurch district in January were:

Six children, aged from four months to eight years, were deemed to be indigent, and were committed to the care of the Superintendent of Child Welfare, as were two girls, aged 15, who were not under proper control.
