(N.Z. Press Assn.—Copyright) LONDON, March 11.

When the 1438 bus did not stop to pick up an attractive housewife, she remembered the slogan: “It’s quicker by rail.”

So she caught a train, made a seven-mile journey and waited at another of the 1438 stops until the same bus arrived.

She then attacked the | driver.

I “She was hysterical,” the bus driver said in the Magistrate's Court at Havant Hampshire, yesterday. “I wanted to run for it, I can tell you. My conductor was so scared he ran upstairs out of the way.” The housewife, Mrs Ruth Cairns, pleaded guilty to assault. She was fined £5.
