John Wyndham Dead

The British science fiction writer. John Wyndham, author o f “The Day of the Triffids.” has died at the age of 65. “John Wyndham” was the pseudonym of John Beynon Harris, whose other books included “The Kraken Wakes,” and “The Chrysalids.” The apocalyptic horrors of these fantasies, rooted in reality, made him perhaps the most popular science fiction writer in Britain since H.
