Rise In Dairy Production
(N.Z. Press Association) HAMILTON, March 11. Dairy production figures for the New Zealand Co-operative Dairy Company, Ltd, are now only 1.1 per cent below the figure for this time last year, after being down 2.1 per cent at the end of January. The assistant to the general manager (Mr R. Haggle), said today there had been a steady increase in production last month, and although milk production was now falling off it was believed that the day-to-day figures were at least equal to last March. The company was processing all available milk at the Te Rapa milk powder factory to meet its commitments to the Dairy Board.
