“Yeomen” Cast

The ChriStehurch Gilbert and Sullivan Society has selected a east and begun rehearsals for its production of "The Yeomen of the Guard,” planned for a oneweek season in the Civic Theatre, beginning on May 31. Brent Duffield is to play Sir Richard Cholmondeley, Lieutenant of the Tower; Rodney Phillips is Colonel Fairfax, William Williams is Wilfred Shadbolt, and Kees Cramer is Sergeant Meryll. Others in the cast are Stephen King (as Jack Point), Cherry Taylor (Phoebe Meryll), Yvonne Martin (Elsie Maynard), and Margaret Bivines (Dame Carruthers). Mr J. G. Cunningham is directing the society’s orchestra of about 25 players, and Mrs Nance Mason is wardrobe mistress.
