Beazley Homes To Expand
Beazley Homes, Ltd, a New Zealand firm which , caused a furore when it won a 240house contract at Mount Tom Price, will expand its activities in Western Australia. It will offer its full range of about 125 pre-cut houses, a company spokesman said. Beazley Homes, of Mount Maunganui. undercut the Western Australian firms by about $500,000 with the Mount; Tom Price contract.
Higher Profit By David Syme (N.Z. Press Assn—Copyright! MELBOURNE, March 10. The directors of David Syme and Company, Ltd, proprietor of the Melbourne “Age” newspaper declared an unchanged interim dividend of 6 per cent on the issued ordinary capital of the company, payable on April 15. Directors report that the profit for the 26 weeks to December 28 showed an increase of 8 per cent over the previous year’s figure and revenue was substantially higher, they said.
