Vehicles Destroyed

A van, two cars, carport and garage were destroyed by fire in a spectacular blaze on the property of Mr E. Pearce, 390 Memorial Avenue, early yesterday. Petrol in the vehicles caught fire and exploded.

Firemen from the Sockbum and Harewood Stations, alerted at 4.37 a.m., could only ! contain the blaze.

Damage was estimated at more than $3OOO.
