KARACHI WINS

(N.Z. Press Association) SYDNEY. Karachi, a Pakistan II four-year-old, won his second successive race when he took the Dundas Flying Handicap (6f) at Rosehill on Saturday. He won by two lengths from Medieval Maestro, with TOdvale third. The New Zealand-bred colt, Rajah Sahib, resuming after a spell, finished tenth, with only three behind him. Rajah Sahib’s trainer, T. Hill, was disappointed with the colt's run but bookmakers did not ease Rajah Sahib’s price for next month’a Doncaster Handicap and he is still a firm favourite.

Karachi’s Doncaster price firmed from 20-1 to 15-1.
