Burglaries
I The sum of $l4B was stolen from a till and cash i box in the bar when the Marine Hotel, Sumner, was broken into on Friday night Thefts were reported from two cars parked outside Riccarton House on Saturday evening. A car radio and amplifier, valued at $66, were taken from one car and a handbag and contents, valued at $25, were taken from another vehicle. The sum of $l9 was stolen from a flat in Fendalton Road. Clothing and a purse were stolen from a flat in Rossall Street. The articles were found on the lawn of an adjoining property, but $2 was missing from the purse. Cigarettes and cash of an unknown value were stolen from the premises of Marlin Carpets, Ltd, 180 Maces Road, late yesterday afternoon. Petty cash of $3 was stolen from Vidora Monograms, 138 Durham Street, early yesterday afternoon.
