GILTINAN TROPHY
Farr To Sail I For N.Z. (N.Z. Press Association) AUCKLAND. B. Farr will skipper the ’ 18-footer Guiness Lady at : Brisbane in the series of races for the J. J. Giltinan Trophy, ' which was last won for New ' Zealand in 1960 by B. Skin- : ner in Surprise. ' Guiness Lady won the trial series, the last race of which was sailed on Sunday, and : scored the maximum points, ’ 400. Theory was second and i Skoltan third. The J. J. Giltinan Trophy i rates will be contested by i four boats from Brisbane, four from Sydney, and four New Zealand yachts. It will be sailed at Easter. The boats to represent New Zealand will be: Guiness Lady, Theory (D. Lldgard), Skoltan (B. Wiseman), and Beagle (P. Harding). League Injury.—The Australian Rugby league half-back, W. Smith, is in hospital. His jaw was broken on both sides of his face in a pre-season game "in Sydney on Saturday. I
