SCHOOL SEX TEACHING

Advocacy By Presbyterian

(N.Z. Press Association)

AUCKLAND, Feb. 20.

Sex education definitely had a place in schools, said the Moderator-Elect of the Presbyterian General Assembly (the Rev. O. T. Baragwanath) in an address to a Rotary youth leadership conference today. He said sex education at schools should be a “normal, unembarrassed” and intelli-gent-part of training, particularly in biology lessons. It was the most important of the sciences.

People could get moral standards at home, at school, and in commercial concerns. “I would never pretend that the church has a monopoly as far as inculcating moral standards,” he said.
