Love Bidder Not Known

The identity of the company thought to be about to announce a take-over bid for Love Construction, Ltd, of Dunedin, has not been disclosed yet. Spokesmen for both Fletcher Holdings, Ltd, and CablePrice, Downer, Ltd, have denied that their companies are involved. Love issued a “don’t sell” warning to its shareholders i last week-end. and the chairman (Mr W. H. Masters) said ' that negotiations were proceeding which might affect the market value of the shares.

The market seems confident about the negotiations, however, for the shares changed hands in Dunedin on Thursday and yesterday at 115 c, a rise of 37c on their price before the warning, which itself was 13c above the price earlier last week .
