Quinney’s Bush Camp

Donations from campers who use the free camping ground at Quinney’s Bush, on the Nelson-West Coast highway, will go to the Stoke and Richmond Y.M.C.A. building funds.

Mr R. Quinney, the Motupiko farmer who has provided the free camping ground for several years, says in a letter to “The Press” that since the donation box was placed at the grounds campers have given $4059 Tapawera guides and scouts will receive new equipment from the S5OO collected between November 19, 1968, and January 31. Mr Quinney says that in future $33 will be deducted every year from the donations for general maintenance of the camping ground. He also plans to provide flush toilets and hand basins.

Mr Quinney thanks campers for their appreciation of his property and for their donations.
