INQUIRY INTO CULT
Discussions On Procedures (N.Z. Press Association) WELLINGTON, Feb. 5. The Commission of Inquiry into certain aspects of Scientology will meet in Wellington on Friday to confer on procedures for its hearings, the commission chairman, Sir Guy Powles, said today. “There have been many conflicting reports about aspects of the inquiry and we would expect to release a statement after this meeting,” he said. -
Sir Guy Powles said he would be meeting with Mr E. V. Dumbleton, the other member of the commission, on such matters as administrative personnel and the location of the hearings.
It is generally expected that the hearings will be held mainly in Auckland, and perhaps in Hamilton.
