BYWON ANOTHER WINNING FLYER?

The combined earnings of City Court, Mayo Gold and the two-year-old Belcare so far at the Wellington Cup meeting are $25,700—a handsome return for the cost of flying them from Auckland to Wellington last week. They were the only horses on the flight from Auckland and their campaigns have produced three wins and a third from four starts. Mr G. Broun, of Auckland, is hopeful that luck will rub off on another flying traveller for the final day bf the Wellington Cup meeting. Mr Broun owns Bywon, which will be flown to Wellington today and will run in the George Adams Handicap on Saturday. Bywon dead-heated with Nausori for first in the George Adams Mile last year. Earlier at the meeting he had won the January Handicap.

The connections of Bywon decided to have another tilt

at the top milers at Trentham after the grey won the Champion Mile at Pukekohe last Saturday and established a track record of Imin 35 l-ssec. Bywon carried his good form into the autumn of last season, running second in the Wellington Racing Club’s Thompson Handicap, then winning over seven furlongs on the second day of the meeting. He was then flown to Sydney where after failing in the Doncaster Handicap he won on one of the later days of the A.J.C. Sydney Cup meeting.
