Junior Wrestlers Show Improved Form
(N.Z. Press Association) NEW PLYMOUTH. ' Showing improved form, the New Zealand junior wrestling team at present touring Oregon in the United States has won two of its last three tournaments, according to advice received at New Plymouth. The New Zealanders beat the Eugene and Central Lin high schools, 9j points to 4J, and 81 to 3J, respectively. The half-point counts as a draw.
The Australasian champion P. Ragg (Canterbury) lost his first match of the tour when he dropped a points decision to B. Lyon (Albany High School). Ragg had previously won six matches in succession but appears to be still at peak form, winning his last two contests by falls. D. Aspin (Auckland) remains the only unbeaten wrestler in the team, although he has twice been held to a draw. His record so far is seven wins and two draws. v. Albany. R.
