72 Drivers Suspended

(N.Z. Press Association) WELLINGTON, January 7. Seventy-two drivers, all male, have had their licences suspended under the demerit points system. . Since the system was introduced in April, 1967, 1156 warning letters have been been issued, including 13 for women drivers, and 424 drivers including one woman, have been interviewed. The suspensions include one motorist who failed to attend the interview arranged with a senior traffic officer.
