VACANCIES—GENERAL TRAINEE PSYCHIATRIC NURSES MALE AND FEMALE Porirua Hospital, Wellington APPLICATIONS are invited from young men and women wishing to undertake Psychiatric Nursing and to be included in the next training class. Minimum age for commencing training is 171 years, with a maximum age of 35 years and a good standard of education, preferably with School Certificate, is required. Commencing salary is 81416 per annum ($27.00 per week) and for a 21-year-old 81856 per annum (535.60 per week). In addition to this penal rates are paid for work on week-ends and public holidays, and some overtime is worked. Annual leave entitlement is four weeks per year. Uniforms, etc., are provided free and accommodation is available in the Male Staff, Quarters and the Nursers Home at a reasonable charge. Porirua Hospital is 12 miles from Wellington and only 10 minutes walk from the Railway Station. Train services are good. The Porirua City shopping centre is only 15 minutes walk from the hospital.
